Scotland is perhaps the best-known country without its own indepence in the Word. This tiny country fought for its own indepence, and visualization many years.
Scotland is known as the exlusive exporter of the famous drink „whisky“. It is impossible for us to imagine a bar, a restaurant or a pub without this drink.
Only in Scotland men wear skirts called kilts. The kilt was originaly a kind of blanket which was vraped around the body and held togetherby a belt. We must say that the scottish garb is unique. There are also typical scottish tradition, for example the playing of pipes.
Scottish food is different from what the English kitchen has to offer. It has its own specialities. The most famous meal is the Scotch Haggis : sheep‘s stomach filled with sheep‘s heart, liver and lungs, mixed and spiced with ram fat, onion, pepper and salt. This hearty meal is usualy consumed with plenty of pure whisky.
There are some lakes called “lochs” in the Scottish Highlands. The largest lakes in Scotland are Loch Lamond and Loch Ness. Loch Ness is famous for its it’s popular prehistoric “Loch Ness Monster”.
In my opinion Scotland is a beautiful country with its rich history and national custom. It is an ideal place for all types of people where they can spend their pleasant holidays.
